About Lively Grove Farms
Lively Grove Farms is a small, family-owned u-pick farm nestled in Bolivia, North Carolina, serving visitors from Brunswick County and the Wilmington metropolitan area. Our organic farm welcomes guests looking for authentic berry picking, peaceful countryside experiences, and fresh seasonal produce grown with care. As one of the growing local u-pick farms in coastal North Carolina, we’re proud to offer a place where families can reconnect with nature and enjoy the tradition of fruit picking together.
Our Roots
Owners Kelsey and Jeremy Smith come from farming families with deep roots in both North Carolina and Illinois, carrying forward nearly 200 years of combined experience stewarding the land. That heritage shapes everything we do, from the way we prepare the soil to the way we welcome guests through our gates.
We spent our first three years quietly growing, learning, and preparing before opening to the public for our first seasonal u-pick farm season in 2021. Since then, we’ve welcomed hundreds of families, school groups, and travelers to the farm, and we’re just getting started.
Today, visitors travel from across the region to our Brunswick County u-pick farm for experiences that feel personal and connected to the land.
How We Grow
From the beginning, our commitment has been the same: grow clean, honest food using pesticide-free, organic growing methods and sustainable practices. As one of the area’s family-owned organic farms, we believe the land, our community, and the families who visit us all deserve our best, and that means never cutting corners on how we grow.
We cultivate strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, Champanel grapes, and our first-ever u-pick garden where guests can gather fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers straight from the field. Everything is grown with intention and available for you to pick yourself.
Our farm has become a favorite destination for u-pick blueberries throughout the growing season. Guests also visit for u-pick blackberries, fresh peach harvests, and hands-on pick-your-own produce experiences that the entire family can enjoy.
During the peak summer season, visitors can enjoy pick your own blueberries straight from the bush while exploring our welcoming fruit farm. In addition to blueberries, we are proud to offer peach picking, blackberry picking, herbs, flowers, and organic produce.

Our History
Lively Grove Farms was established in 2018, and in the years since, we’ve grown from a dream into a thriving multi-crop farm with even bigger plans ahead.
Spring 2021 marked our very first strawberry and blackberry harvest, and the season welcomed our first visitors through the gates. What began as a small family project quickly grew into one of the area’s welcoming organic farms for seasonal gatherings and outdoor experiences.
In 2022, we celebrated our first blueberry harvest, expanding our reputation as a local destination for fruit farms and a family-friendly berry picking destination. By 2023, we were hosting group tours and opening the farm to even more of our community.
In 2025, we expanded our harvest to include Champanel grapes and peaches, allowing guests to enjoy fresh seasonal peach picking in addition to berries.
Now in 2026, we’re entering our sixth season, and the farm is fuller than ever. This year, we’re excited to introduce our first u-pick Garden featuring fresh vegetables, herb beds, and rows of flowers for you to gather yourself.
